Alice bolted to her feet and sent her chair flying. Burning with embarrassment, she turned and walked to the window.

"I-I'm not crying!" she stammered while rubbing her eyes, trying to sound tough. "I'm…just glad you're all right. Sorry I woke you."

Randel sat up slowly and turned to look at her. This wasn't the first time he'd awakened, but it was the first time he felt some of his old strength return to his aching limbs.

But you were crying…for me, he thought. Were you really that worried?

After a moment he said, "Okay."

Winding Down

Fear not, followers! My semester ends on Friday, meaning I will be returning home for the summer. That means I'll be starting to look for a job and watching over the pups, but I will also be working on more art!

Remember the weapon concepts I drew up a while ago? The bonk fizgig/flail looks cool in concept, but it wouldn't work unless the wielder held part of the chain with one talon or was spinning madly mid-flight. So I'm studying flails to make new concepts, taking up an entire page and including insights on their designs and usage techniques!

I also began Warrior concepts again, starting with a favorite of mine: Yellowfang. Her design is definitely unique, requiring direct references for her face alone. I have her already drawn up at a few different stages of her life. Expect those showing up here within the month.

Now I need to get some shuteye so I can keep studying for my last two finals. Clover out!
